WORK-IN-PROGRESS: SPIRIT LODGE

"Spirit Lodge" is a memorial retreat cabin that is being build at Camp Lutherwood on beautiful Lake Samish in Bellingham, Washington. The cabin was named in memory of Michael Sean Brady, who died of leukemia.
Thanks to volunteer efforts and contributions, construction of the cabin began in August 2001.

Pacific Crest Log Homes constructed the cabin from Western Fir logs. It is 16 x 29 feet with main room, kitchen, bathroom with handicap access and loft.
Perma-Chink Systems environmentally friendly products were used for interior and exterior of the log cabin.
On the exterior, Dave Snavely, the log home builder of Pacific Crest Log Homes, used Lifeline Ultra-1 Autumn Gold color with a clear topcoat for the maximum protection.
Lifeline Interior 110 was chosen for the interior log walls and Lifeline Interior Clear coat for the natural pine ceiling.
Volunteers are preparing logs for chinking. The Grip Strip was installed to seal the gaps between logs. The Grip Strip provides a firm chinking surface and serves as a median between the log gap and the chinking.
Perma-Chink chinking is being applied to seal the logs from inside and outside.
